I am a researcher based at Bath University, studying collaborative music making over the internet.

Over the next few weeks we are evaluating a new prototype system for creating music and need as many musicians as we can get to help out by testing it at the university. It will only take a couple of hours max and is guarenteed to be fun and thought provoking.

If you are at all interested please contact me for more details at t.coughlan@bath.ac.uk or reply to this message

Cheers,

Tim.

When I get time I might give it a go, but you should post it on www.kvraudio.com as that is the main computer software development forum. The feedback you would get there would be priceless!

Thanks for the link, it'd be great if you could come and give it a go.

I'm aiming to create a version that will go online but its still a bit messy for the general public to run at this stage.

Hope to see you sometime!

Tim.

Sorry, I didn't realise it had to be tested at the Uni. I would certainly be interested, what times are the testing sessions? Also, do you know John Fitch by any chance?

Yes I know John he's in our department, although hes not involved in this particular project.

Im happy for people to tell me what times would suit them and work from there. Any time is good for me over the next few weeks (with a bit of notice) and the whole thing shouldnt take more than 2 hours.

The main issue is organising people in to pairs, either I can do this or if people who know each other want to come together (Neil mentioned possibly doing it with you) then even better.

Cheers,

Tim.

Yeah I was going to ask if Neil would give me lift in his rickshaw. I'll phone him, and then get back to you. It would be cool if John was around for a chat, but don't worry if he isn't!

Interested, but severely lacking in free time, sorry! And sorry Neil for not getting back to you yet, I've had such a busy week! I'm going to need to go back to work for a rest!

The end of this week may be good for me - I'm working, but I can shift things around. Let me know.

@Phil - no problem. I realised you were playing GPT last night - couldn't make it as I got home late, but hope it went well.
