I'd like it if he made a disco album and dressed like this...

You're just not old enough to remember their first single.

I was thinking about getting this...read the NME review.

Of course, I'm nowhere near old enough to remember the first single, but... |

It's not a bad album. There are two or three really good tracks on there.
I wouldn't say it was absolutely wonderful, and I've given it a lot of play now. Really looking forward to the new Radiohead album - J Greenwood was apparently quoted as saying "I've never played so much guitar". _________________ PRINT OUR POSTER HERE

Unless time reversed I should hope that's the case. |

I just bought it, so I'll listen to it later and post my verdict!
UPDATE: Nice. Not quite as I expected though. The first track (The Eraser) is definitely my favourite. |

| Yes I did hear great things about that especially but it hasn't quite hit me yet. More listens I think. Although I do find it extremely hard to criticize Sir Thom! A great taster album before the next Radiohead album with some of the tracks I heard live (Videotape) not far off some of the tracks on The Eraser. I just wish they'd get in the studio and finish it all off. Oh well. It's crazy thinking what I was doing when HTTT came out as it was so long ago. |

I'm hoping the new album is a little less bleep and a little more of a return to the old style.
I loved HTTT though ... thought that was a good mix of both styles.
I'm still not blown away by Eraser. I hope Thom keeps on doing his thing and lets Radiohead be ... well ... more like Radiohead. _________________ PRINT OUR POSTER HERE

Yeah I think everyone would want them to return to the old style but I'm not sure it'll ever happen, I think they've just moved on. And plus, we are talking about old style being OKC yeah? Because that's the thing, I think they've always been turning towards this style of music they do now and they're still amazing at pulling it off and we wouldn't be considering how amazing Radiohead are if they had kept releasing the same sort of stuff since The Bends. Whatever they do though, you know it'll be amazing and just worth a listen to see what stage they're at now and whether they're into their guitars at the moment or not! lol _________________ Pacific Radio Fire / MySpace
